Donate to our Spring 2021 Fundraising Campaign

In North America, this month is our spring, but in the Andes autumn and winter are coming. Life has never been easy in the Andes. The winter is dry and when the sun sets behind the mountains it is bone-chilling cold.

Once again this year, the pandemic comes on top of already harsh conditions. The support that you and other donors provided in 2020 was invaluable in facilitating the Andean weavers’ ability to overcome the first year of this global crisis. This year is no less challenging. The Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco (CTTC), a primary recipient of your ATA donations, has discussed with each of its ten weaving communities what support would be most valuable to them. Nearly every community asked for farm aid (chickens, guinea pigs, seeds, and vegetables) as well as yarn and natural dyes so they can continue to weave.

To meet the needs of these ten communities, we are asking for your help in raising $20,000 during this, our spring fundraising appeal. With your contribution, our ATA board will personally match the first $5,000 in donations. Whatever you can give will have a very real impact in reducing the hardships for the weaving communities that we have grown to love.

With deepest gratitude,
The volunteers of Andean Textile Arts

Help us reach our $20,000 goal!
